Thank you for your order at IAMNOTAMERICAN®.com! We are committed to delivering your order as quickly as possible. Below, you’ll find our detailed shipping policy, outlining our shipping rates, timelines, and destinations.
By placing an order with us, you agree to this Shipping Policy. We appreciate your supporting this Canadian small business, and look forward to delivering your I AM NOT AMERICAN® merchandise.
1. Shipping Destinations
We proudly ship to the following locations:
- Canada
- United States
- International (excluding restricted regions)
2. Processing Time
Orders are processed in, and shipped from, Surrey, British Columbia, Canada.
To allow time for changes to, or cancellation of, a submitted order, new orders are held for 24 hours before processing begins. After that hold period, we will attempt to process all orders within 1-2 business days, excluding weekends and holidays. Please allow additional time for orders placed during peak seasons or holidays.
3. Backorders
Inventory is limited. At time of checkout, if inventory for your chosen design, size or colour is currently or almost out of stock, our system will indicate to you if some or all of your order is subject to backorder. If you proceed to submit your order, your order will be processed normally, and we will endeavour to get your item to you as quickly as possible. When we have an estimated timeline for delivery of your I AM NOT AMERICAN® merchandise, we will advise you via Email.
I AM NOT AMERICAN® T-shirts are professionally screen printed in batches, and are subject to availability of both the shirts themselves, and the screen printer schedules. IAMNOTAMERICAN®.com has no control over any delays from such supply issues, and we thank you for your patience as we work to fulfil your order as fast as we can.
4. Shipping Methods
We ship all orders via Canada Post. Currently available shipping methods are:
(a) To Canada: “Expedited Parcel” or “Xpresspost“.
(b) To the United States of America, “Expedited Parcel – USA” or “Xpresspost – USA“.
(c) To other international destinations, Tracked Packet – International, or Small Packet International Surface or Small Packet International Air.
Shipping options are subject to change, and will be reflected in both this Shipping Policy page, and on the checkout page before confirming your purchase.
5. Estimated Delivery Times
Each of the available shipping methods has different service standards that outline expected delivery times for that shipping method. By clicking on the links to the shipping methods listed above, you will receive the latest information directly from the service provider.
Please note: delivery times are estimates provided by Canada Post and can vary depending on your location and other factors such as customs processing or weather. IAMNOTAMERICAN®.com is not responsible for delays that occur after we have handed your package over to Canada Post.
6. Shipping Rates
Shipping rates are calculated based on the size, weight, and destination of your order, and the shipping method selected. You can view your shipping cost at checkout before confirming your purchase.
There are no “handling fees” at IAMNOTAMERICAN®.com. The shipping rates you see at checkout reflect the cost to us so that we may get your order to you, and take into consideration shipping charges as quoted by the service provider (including taxes and any “fuel surcharge”), plus the cost of shipping materials such as envelopes and boxes, or other incidentals.
Shipping costs are subject to change without notice, and will be reflected on the checkout page before confirming your purchase.
7. Customs and Import Duties
For international orders, please be aware that customs duties, taxes, and other fees may be imposed by the postal service provider or customs agency in your country, and are your responsibility. IAMNOTAMERICAN®.com recommends contacting your local customs office to inquire about potential charges before placing your order.
8. Order Tracking
Once your order has shipped, you will receive a tracking number via email. You can use this number to track the status of your shipment online. Canada Post’s online tracking site will have the most up-to-date status information for your shipment. Order tracking is not available for “Small Packet International” shipping options.
9. Shipping Restrictions
At this time, we do not ship to restricted or embargoed countries. If you believe your country should be eligible for shipping, please contact us, and we will review your request.
10. Shipping Issues or Delays
If your order does not arrive within the estimated timeframe or if you experience any issues with your shipment, please contact us at order_support@iamnotamerican.com with your order details and we will work with the carrier to find a suitable solution.
11. Lost or Damaged Shipments
If your package is lost or damaged during shipping, please contact us at order_support@iamnotamerican.com as soon as possible, with your order details.
All shipping options to destinations in Canada and the United States of America, and “Tracked Packet – International” to other international destinations, offer tracking, and up to $100 CAD in insurance coverage offered by and underwritten by Canada Post. In the event that your shipment sent using one of the preceding shipping methods is lost or damaged, a claim must be submitted through Canada post, and you must fully assist both Canada Post and I Am Not American Merchandise (as required) throughout the claim process.
You acknowledge and agree that the final determination of coverage and the extent to which coverage may be applicable is at the sole discretion of Canada Post. You acknowledge and agree that the extent of indemnification in the event of a claim for lost, damaged or stolen shipment, shall be the lesser of:
(a) the amount of indemnification offered by Canada Post to settle the claim for a lost, damaged or stolen shipment, or
(b) the cost to send you at our expense and at our discretion, a replacement for the item that was lost, stolen or damaged, or
(c) a proportional refund at our discretion, of the original order to the value of the item that was list, stolen or damaged, and a proportional amount of any shipping costs (if applicable)
“SMALL PACKET INTERNATIONAL” SHIPPING OPTIONS DO NOT OFFER INSURANCE OR TRACKING AT ANY TIME.
You acknowledge and agree that in the event of a lost, damaged or stolen shipment to an international destination that was sent using an uninsured shipping method, IAMNOTAMERICAN®.com is not responsible for any loss, damage, or theft of the package that occurs after the package has been handed over to Canada Post.
12 Order Changes & Address Updates
If you need to change or cancel your order, or if your shipping address is incorrect, please contact us immediately at order_support@iamnotamerican.com. We will do our best to accommodate changes before the order is fulfilled and handed over to Canada Post, and we will let you know if we were able to do so.
13. Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to update and modify these Terms at any time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Effective Date.” By continuing to use our website after such changes, you agree to be bound by the updated Terms.
